My oh my time flies when you're a robot. It was five years ago this month that I first met Alan and Steve as they checked out their new office space aka "the robot bunker" down in the Lower Haight. It was a turning point for me as we quickly became good friends sharing our passion for music, beer and sarcasm. Since then we've experienced the good, the bad and the ugly down at the shop. So it is with great pleasure and pride that I share this announcement with you all...

Mid September 2007
Siladi Podcast 17 is now available for download, featuring Part 2 of a two part series from the early days of my freestylin' laptopia, circa 2001. This particular session was built around 2 long field recordings I made while camping in Northern California. Edited only for length, played back in real time through FX patches and other sonic decimators.
Love it or leave it.

Mid August 2007
Siladi Podcast 16 is now available for download, featuring the early days of my freestylin' laptopia, circa 2001. This was a process that began with field recordings routed through maticulasly built FX patches. Then during playback, I cranked nobs and moved faders in real-time to create a continuously shifting, audio environment.
Also worth digesting this month, The Feature were invited over to Modifyer's virtual house for dinner and they cooked up a meaty audio dish for the malnourished. Check the sound recipe, its hot!

Back in March I wrote a post about a remix that I had just finished for Def' Child Records. Well, we've got an update for ya. Mr Aju and I approved the dub plate not too long ago and it is now on its way to the record plant for mass production. The vinyl should be out real soon, as well as a digital download. In the meantime, check out the Circuit73 remix at Siladi's Myspace page.

Update: 1973. What a great year for music. Coincidently, the year I was born and the theme for this month's podcast.

Early April 2007
Its anniversary week here at Siladi HQ.
One year ago this week, the first Siladi Podcast was created and the Circuit73 Happy Hour started up at Madrone Lounge. Some how, I've managed to sustain the life of these two monthly events. Let's Celebrate!
Although it was not my intention, I realise now looking back that the happy hour ended up being a suppliment to the mixes on the podcast. The difference being more time to play the new and rather unusual music I've been digging up.
So, the C73 Happy Hour 1yr is this Saturday, April 7th from 7p-10p. Its always a good place to warm up your liver before heading out to your main event.
